The WhatsApp messenger made it possible for users to access directories of companies around the world. The new Store button replaced the voice call button in the app.
In the WhatsApp messenger, a button for purchases “Store” has been launched, AdWeek reports. In October, the company announced that it would triple its investment in business development at its site – shopping, Facebook hosting, and business sales.
The “Store” button allows users to browse the assortment of retailers right in the app. WhatsApp noted that the new button, which replaced the voice call button, is available worldwide.
According to Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, more than 175 million people send messages daily from business accounts to WhatsApp, and users browse more than 40 million directories every month.
68% of those surveyed by WhatsApp are more likely to purchase goods from a company that can be contacted via messenger than one that does not have such an option.
At the moment, the new WhatsApp button is only available to users in some countries, such as Spain. His arrival in the rest of the world would be gradual, that is, in the coming weeks.
